Meet Erica

Hi! I'm the founder and floral designer behind Isla Flor. Born and raised in San Diego and lucky to call Ocean Beach home, I find endless inspiration in nature and the effortless way it brings together color, texture, and movement.

Looking back, flowers feel like a natural extension of who I've always been. As a kid, I was happiest creating with my hands and finding beauty in nature, long before I realized it would become my career.

Before flowers, I built my career in marketing, helping businesses create meaningful connections through thoughtful design and storytelling. That experience continues to shape the way I approach floristry today. I believe the best floral designs begin with understanding the people, purpose, and feeling behind each celebration.

After becoming a mom in late 2024, I found myself reimagining the kind of life and work I wanted to build. If I was going to encourage my daughter to pursue what she loves, I knew I had to do the same. That’s when I decided to leave my corporate career and launch Isla Flor—a business named after my daughter and inspired by the life I wanted to create for our family.

Today, I partner with couples, brands, and businesses across Southern California to create florals for weddings, brand activations, corporate events, and intimate celebrations. Whether designing for hundreds of guests or a gathering of just a few, my goal is always the same: to create florals that feel personal, memorable, and unmistakably you.

I believe the best collaborations begin with listening. I take the time to understand your vision, your style, and what matters most to you, then bring it to life through thoughtful color palettes, natural movement, layered textures, and carefully considered details. My hope is that you'll feel confident and excited throughout the process, and that when you see your flowers for the first time, they feel like a true reflection of you and the moments you're celebrating.
